Sueann Tannis is Senior Director, Integrated Communications at the United Nations Foundation, where she leads content strategy and runs award-winning campaigns covering gender equality, climate change, global health — and more.
Born and raised on the Caribbean island of Barbados, she is a speaker, communications leader, and advocate for women’s well-being.
In 2021, Sueann was appointed to the Forbes Communications Council for her track record of successfully impacting organizations’ growth, as well as personal and professional achievements and honors.
Prior to joining the UN Foundation, Sueann led communications in the President’s Office at the Caribbean Development Bank and consulted at the World Bank, where she advised on digital communications for a $530 million Trust Fund focusing on women’s and children’s health.
Sueann has also held marketing communications roles in the financial services, luxury retail, and tourism sectors.
She holds degrees in communications from Howard University and Georgetown University.
Sueann also serves on boards and councils in the education sector, and is an avid supporter of women's leadership and mentorship programs.
