Stephanie Powell is Head of Content for Horoscope.com Inc., the world’s largest and
most comprehensive astrology media company. In her role, Powell leads content vision,
strategy and execution for the company’s main brands - Astrology.com,
Horoscope.com, Horoscopo.com and Astrocenter.com. Her overarching responsibilities
are to manage the Editorial staff, work in close collaboration with the Analytics and
Product teams and grow unique users, pageviews and consistent engagement by
deploying intelligent and leading-edge SEO and social strategy.
In early 2019 Powell joined Horoscope.com Inc.'s team in a freelance capacity, working
on audience growth and engagement across social-media channels. Her professional
experience in astrology coupled with her digital strategy have proved invaluable ever
since. Powell’s ability to read and comprehend birth charts and compatibility charts
lends itself seamlessly to the creation and distribution of esoteric content that strongly
resonates with the devoted Horoscope.com Inc. audience. The media company sits
under Ingenio, a company that provides a unique, online collection of sites for women to
find spiritual guidance on love, relationships, and life.
Prior to Horoscope.com Inc. Powell was the Managing Editor of Strings and DRUM!
magazines, both owned by Stringletter Media. As the Digital Content Director, Powell
oversaw social media strategy for the company's editorial team and five music
magazines including Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, DRUM!, Strings, and Ukulele
magazines.
Earlier in her career, Powell freelanced for multiple publications including The Guardian,
Cosmopolitan, Betches.com, Snapixel, Haute Living, Chictopia, Denim Therapy and the
Lucky Brand Jeans official blog "A Lucky Life." The former National Geographic
researcher is also fluent in Spanish. Perhaps an indicator of her future role at
Horoscope.com Inc., Powell penned a weekly horoscope column for Pacific Sun.
Powell graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Communications &
Journalism. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
