Rafael Gonzaga was born and raised in Brazil and worked at São Paulo based agencies for more than 15 years, such as TBWA and GREY. In 2019 Rafa moved to Los Angeles to become Executive Creative Director at Grey Group for the offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco, also serving as a permanent member of Grey's North America Regional Creative Council and as a voting member of Grey Global Creative Council. In late 2021, Rafa joined BBDO as the Executive Creative Director of the network's office in LA, leading the creative department and the overall vision, culture, and product of the agency, including the work for one of the country’s biggest advertisers, AT&T. Throughout his career, he has won over 30 Lions at Cannes — including a Grand-Prix in 2018 — plus numerous medals in all the most prestigious festivals around the globe, such as D&Ad, OneShow, Clio, LIAs, Effie Awards, New York Festivals, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, FIAP, LUSOS and CCSP.
