Columbia, Maryland native, Lindsay LaBennett graduated North Carolina A&T State University obtaining a bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication – with a focus in Public Relations and her Masters in Sports Administration from Ohio University.
Lindsay has enjoyed a successful career in the world of sports marketing. Lindsay started her career at NASCAR working in their Diversity Affairs department managing programs such as the NASCAR HBCU College Tour and Drive for Diversity. This experience lead to her transition to the agency side, landing positions with Octagon and Wasserman, where she has spent the last 10 years of her career. Lindsay’s role on the Brands and Properties part of the business included managing NFL sponsorships for Fortune 500 brands, marketing contracts with top NFL athletes and executing team/media deals to achieve her clients’ business objectives. She also focused on industry multi-cultural efforts, driving Wasserman’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and their anti-racism work.
Now an AVP at Wasserman, her efforts are focus on equity development, establishing inclusive business practices and supporting the company and clients in their own Brand Citizenship efforts and initiatives.
