KAREN CHONG is a content marketing innovator, leveraging compelling storytelling to champion the mission of brands. In her role as the director of Audience and Influencer Engagement, Enterprise Initiatives, at AARP, Chong is charged with cultivating strategic partnerships to spark engagement with non-traditional audiences and brand partners. AARP is the nation’s largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, with 38 million members. Having developed partnerships with a range of media entities, including Refinery29 and Allure magazine, Chong has doubled engagement year over year for AARP’s #DisruptAging campaign. #DisruptAging is a national initiative that is changing the conversation around age and aging by challenging the industries, systems, and culture that use ageist stereotypes to limit our real possibilities. Prior to AARP, she led partnership and content marketing teams at PBS and launched niche technical magazines for The Washington Post Company.
