Jeanell English (she/her) is the Executive Vice President, Impact and Inclusion at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In this role, she leads the Academy’s initiatives designed to address underrepresentation across the industry and to discover, empower, and advance the work of emerging and diverse film artists. She also oversees the Academy’s sustainability, representation, inclusion, and accessibility efforts. Prior to joining the Academy, English worked for more than a decade in the areas of global diversity and inclusion strategy, employee engagement, corporate social responsibility, cross-cultural training, and talent management. Jeanell English received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations with a Minor in Visual Studies from Cornell University and Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, Smith School of Business.
