About

Rob Alley has worked for Amazon for 7+ years and currently serves as Head of Brand Innovation Lab for Amazon, overseeing the entertainment, media, and telecommunications businesses. He leads multi-disciplinary teams and is recognized for launching innovative, bar-raising, campaigns.

Alley has over 20 years of experience across entertainment, automotive, hospitality, and toy industries, to name a few. He has serviced many blue-chip clients, including 20th Century (Fox) Studios, Activision, Acura, Adidas, Audi, BMW, Carnival Cruise Line, Delta, Disney, Hasbro, Lego, Lexus, Mattel, NBC Universal, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Ubisoft, Verizon, and Warner Bros.

Prior to joining Amazon, Alley served as VP and Executive Creative Director at Midnight Oil, where he oversaw a 40-person creative department and a full agency rebrand. Under his leadership, Midnight Oil garnered 20+ awards and was named Agency of the Year by the Game Marketing Awards.

Rob attributes much of his success to his curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and empathetic approach to people management. Rob fosters innovation and creativity by defining strategic goals, supporting collaboration, engaging in popular culture, and always asking, “Why?”. He is a conceptual storyteller whose synthesis of product design and brand marketing has led to over 40 award-winning campaigns and products. He obsesses over the customer and is passionate about helping brands communicate their brand personality and promise through storytelling and experiences.
