About

Mark is a Florida native, although he began in career in New York City after graduating from the University of Florida, and did a quick stint in Los Angeles, before returning to Florida, in 2005. He studied marketing and advertising in college and always knew this was what he wanted to do. Digital Marketing runs in his blood. It wasn’t until a stint working with Sapient, that he really began to grasp digital. “Sapient was like digital boot-camp for me”, Mark says, “I really learned a lot and they were doing things in the digital space at that time that not a lot of other agencies and companies were doing”.

Currently, Mark Hickman works as Director of Digital Strategy, with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. “There is no other industry as exciting and challenging as real estate and to combine digital and social media marketing with real estate is a real dream job for me.” At ONE, Mark oversees high level digital strategies for both the residential and development side of the business, running award winning campaigns directly with Google, YouTube, and with other media partners, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify. “We really had to pivot these last 2 years, given the Covid pandemic, as the industry embraced technology and digital” so it was very strenuous yet rewarding at the same time.

Prior to ONE, Mark held numerous digital related positions on the agency side, with McCann Erickson, Wunderman, Critical Mass, República Havas, as well as the client side with experience at Burger King Corporation and Celebrity Cruises. Some aspects of digital he has touched include paid and organic, native video, influencer marketing communications, social media, Google Analytics, and website UX/UI development and optimization(s).
Mark’s work has spanned Latin America, the Caribbean, the US, and Mark embraces multiculturalism and diversity in every aspect of life.
